Dyslexia
Dyslexia is the name given to a condition where the brain has a hard time turning symbols into sounds. It can look very different on each student. Determining if a student may be dyslexic is extremely helpful in teaching them to read. Dyslexic students utilize very different methods to learn to read than do traditional students.
This is not a medical diagnosis.
Screening Includes:

20 Batteries of the Woodcock-Johnson IV

Meets North Carolina Annual Testing Requirement
-
Takes 3.5 - 4 hours (Appointments are schedule to give the student a break in the middle)

1 hour parent consultation 1 week later

Printed analysis of findings

Thorough documented advice on how to teach your child to read based on findings.
